Occupy Las Vegas

Las Vegans marched on Fremont Street Oct. 15 to the beat of drummers and chants of "This is what democracy looks like." The 700-plus-person group of peaceful protestors replaced Elvis impersonators, show girls and street performers as the downtown Saturday-night spectacle that entertained photo-snapping tourists, many of which nodded and waved their approval, while others joined the march. This is the second Las Vegas march and first of a series of demonstrations scheduled over the next couple weeks by oocupylasvegas.org.
